In his weekly address, President Obama noted the celebration of Easter and Passover, calling upon Americans to participate in prayer and reflection.
“This week, Jewish families gathered around the Seder table commemorating the Exodus from Egypt and the triumph of faith over oppression. And this weekend, Michelle, Malia, Sasha and I will join Christians around the world to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hopeful promise of Easter.”
The President added:
“In the midst of all of our busy and noisy lives, these holy days afford us the precious opportunity to slow down and spend some quiet moments in prayer and reflection
This weekend, I hope we’re all able to take a moment to pause and reflect, to embrace our loved ones, to give thanks for our blessings, to rededicate ourselves to interests larger than our own.”
“And to all the Christian families who are celebrating the Resurrection, Michelle and I wish you a blessed and joyful Easter.”, concluded President.
Mr. President, thank you for your Easter comments to the American people. However, I would kindly remind you of the words of the very Christ you reference:
“If you love me, keep my commands.”- John 14:15
Furthermore:
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”- John 14:21
Mr. President, the anti-family (i.e., attack on Biblical definition of Marriage), anti-life (i.e., opposition to protection of unborn life), anti-Israel (i.e., arming Israel’s enemies with weapons of mass destruction), anti-free market (i.e., support of the Davis Bacon Act and Project Labor Agreements), and the very nature of your leadership are hostile towards the commandments of God and the best interests of Jewish and Christian Americans who recognize and embrace God’s intentions for the role of government and the individual.
Therefore, your praise of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, are clearly disingenuous, in light of the policy decisions you have made and continue to make as leader of this nation.
“….Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”- Samuel 15:22
God left us no room for misinterpretation. Empty praises are meaningless, particularly when our actions contradict the nature, Word, and will of God, such as what your policies have done, from the time you were a U.S. Senator to this present day, Mr. President.
However, there is yet time and hope. You can still exchange your personal and policy rebellion to God in favor of obedience to God, for the sake of our nation and even for the sake of your own eternal destiny.
Think about it, Mr. President.
God is watching, as are freedom loving Americans who love God in Word and deed.
